In 2004, Ecuador experienced a growing season that offered the perfect combination of climate, rainfall and soil. Each wrapper leaf used to create CAO Gold Vintage was cultivated from this banner harvest and represents the best Connecticut-seed Ecuadorian grown wrapper leaves of 2004. The Gold Vintage displays a silky wrapper that entices with a leathery prelight nose. The palate is round and thick, exhibiting flavors of cream, vanilla, and hazelnut. Each pull delivers layers of buttery notes backed by a definite spicy core that is attributed to the Habano seed filler tobaccos from Honduras (Jamastran) and Nicaragua (Esteli).
